Community Fundraisers

Are you looking for a fun and meaningful way to give back and make a difference in the lives of people with Down syndrome? Why not hold a Community Fundraiser in your neighborhood, school, work, etc.! All you need is the desire to help, a fundraising idea you’re passionate about, and a plan… and the MDSC can help.

We welcome new and classic ideas alike. If you’re having trouble coming up with your own fundraiser, try one of the six (e)asy fundraising kits we've developed. Whether you want your MDSC fundraiser to cater to kids, adults or the whole family, each e-kit provides all the necessary steps and information needed to make your fundraiser a success. The hardest part is choosing which e-kit to go with—the rest is “easy”.

Every community fundraiser benefiting the MDSC must complete an online application, which will help you begin carrying out your plan and also give us the information we need to assist you along the way. Once your fundraiser is approved, we will provide you with an official MDSC endorsement letter, a personal fundraising page if requested, access to use our name and logo, and other helpful tips.
MDSC Community Fundraising Guidelines
When you organize a community fundraiser for the MDSC, you act as an Ambassador of the organization. In order to represent the organization in the most professional manner, we ask you to follow these important guidelines. Please read the guidelines before completing the Community Fundraising Application.
How Your Fundraising Gift Helps
The money you raise from your community fundraiser will directly support programs and services the MDSC offers such as Parents First Call, Advocates in Motion (AIM), Annual Conference, Educators Forum, Teacher Partnership Network, and Legislative Advocacy, which benefit people with Down syndrome, their families, educators, health care professionals, and the community-at-large.
If you have any questions regarding the Community Fundraising program please call 781-221-0024 or email communityfundraisers@mdsc.org.
