The purpose of the Legislative Advocacy Task Force is to address and initiate, when appropriate, policy issues affecting persons with Down syndrome The MDSC Board of Directors carefully chooses, upon recommendation from the MDSC Legislative Advocacy Task Force, a slate of state bills to promote for each biennial legislative session.

This slate, known as the MDSC Legislative Platform, is posted on our website. The Legislative Advocacy Task Force mobilizes our members for action, when appropriate.
