iBelieve, 2016 theme

What is #iBelieve?
iBelieve is our campaign celebrating what motivates, inspires, and drives us to do everything that we do. At our Annual Conference, we revealed this theme and asked each of our attendees what they believe. This year at our Buddy Walks we are walking with our theme, “iBelieve” in mind.  We will carry this theme of empowerment through our three Buddy Walks across the state.

What do we believe?
The concept of believing relates to virtually everything we do:

  • We BELIEVE that new and expectant parents should have access to the latest, most accurate information about  Down syndrome.
  • We BELIEVE that people with Down syndrome deserve to have access to the best education possible.
  • We BELIEVE that people with Down syndrome deserve good jobs that allow them to earn money.
  • We BELIEVE that people with Down syndrome have a right to self-determination and access to supports no matter what their age.
  • And We BELIEVE in tackling the most significant challenges facing our loved ones with Down syndrome.

Take Action

Share what YOU believe - Make your own #iBelieve video

Take a few minutes to tell the world what you #iBelieve for our loved ones with Down syndrome. It's easy!

  • It can be anywhere from a few seconds to a minute long.
  • Ideally, it includes a friend/loved one with Down syndrome.
  • It can be recorded with your smartphone or tablet.
  • And you can film it in the privacy of your own home or while you're out in your community.
